One of the most striking things about turmeric is its colour- in fact, lots of recipes call for a dash of turmeric purely for the colour and visual effect. Part of turmeric’s popularity stems from its role in Ayurvedic medicine. Many believe that turmeric has a number of incredible healing properties.
